Week 5: Social Lean Canvas Version 2

Parts we need to improve or define:

  • Choose 1-2 types of products for an example
  • What is the problem currently?
  • What issues arise?
  • Why are the current rating systems confusing?
    • Spend time showing how confusing the current system is
    • Then as contrast how simple we can make the process for users
    • Say "If you use this...then" this good thing will happen
    • Rather than explaining what will happen when you don't use it
  • Choose one customer segment to focus on
    • Users is probably the best option
      • From 1-10 on the lacking knowledge to knowing everything and not needing the product, 6-8 is our best market.
  • Is there more to the project than just a website/app?
  • Our customers could become our business partners
  • Think about the problems people might find with the project and answer them in the presentation
  • Users don't like being lied to
    • It might help to clear away all the 'fake' ratings
  • Explain terminology that users might not understand
  • Create some user personas
  • Investigate the idea of helping small businesses that can't afford expensive ratings

Examples to explore:

  • A.S Colour transparency template
